Collaboration with the Art Research Center, Ritsumeikan University
Professor Ryo Akama is a professor of college of letters, Ritsumeikan University. His research background lies in the performing arts of Japan. He worked for the Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum in Waseda University and started the kabuki print database at the Theatre Museum. Since then he has run digital-archiving project for comprehensive Japanese art materials in Europe and U.S. based in the Art Research Center, Ritsumeikan University.

The KGOA has undertaken several projects with Professor Akama, among them is the project with cataloging the Japanese woodblock prints at the Print Cabinet, Geneva, which resulted in a successful exhibition and a well-received publication.
