Lecture at the Museum Rietberg: Professor Naman P. Ahuja (Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi)
The Museum Rietberg will host a public discussion on Devi Prasad (1921-2011), the eminent Indian potter, painter, designer, photographer, art educator and peace activist, who is considered a pioneer of modern Indian design. The lecture reveals not only the deep philosophical and ethical foundation of modern Indian design but also the impact of personalities such as Gandhi, Tagore and Coomaraswamy on Devi Prasad’s work.
